Join us online for Day 1 of our Pre-COP series of online events in the lead up to the UN Climate Change Conference of the Parties (COP 26) which takes place in Glasgow on 31st October to 12th November 2021.
The aim of this online event is to hear from a range of speakers region and UK wide who will deliver talks across the 5 key important topics aligned with COP 26 as follows:-

Event Description
We want to use this first event to bring together key organisations who are working within various sectors to talk to us about how they are building up their strategies and plans for future climate action.
The event will consist of pre-recorded talks and will be live streamed across our Climate Action North YouTube channel. All speakers will be online ready to answer any questions raised through the live chat on the day.

This event is the first of two and our next event will take place on Monday 20th September and will focus on showcasing the many projects and people working on the frontline delivering climate solutions and taking climate action.

Background to COP 26
The COP26 summit will bring parties together to accelerate action towards the goals of the Paris Agreement and the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change. In the UK there is a commitment to working with all countries to join forces with society, companies and the people and projects happening on a daily basis.
Background to Climate Action North
Climate Action North is a not for profit community interest company set up to take action in the climate emergency . Our projects for action on the climate crisis, and the environment in the North of England include: Pollinator Parks, Global Wilders, One Small Change, WATAR (Wear and Tees Action for Rivers) litter picking and beach cleans and working with businesses in the context of the climate emergency.
