Join the Chamber and expert speakers as we explore why young people from lower socioeconomic backgrounds are less likely to apply to and win a place at university and what can be done to tackle the barriers they face.
Speakers and agenda:
Both speakers will present their research and ideas before Jonathan Walker, Director of Policy at the Chamber who will then host a panel style Q+A, where attendees have the opportunity to ask the speakers questions on the topic.
Framing the Future is the Chamber’s new events series where we take a deep dive into the North East’s big political and economic issues with expert speakers to discuss their research and ideas.
Each session will end with a panel Q+A session, allowing members to get involved in the debate, raise their own research and ideas. The goal is to ultimately explore these topics and their possible solutions as ways of levelling up our region by sharing cutting edge research and ideas between our members.
