Children’s Cancer North are delighted to launch this exciting networking event!

Come along to this FREE event and learn how some inspiring local companies have put Corporate Social Responsibility into action. During the evening you will hear from key speakers from leading regional businesses, including Greggs PLC, who will share their experience of CSR.

There will also be an opportunity to network with other businesses in the area and a buffet for attendees to enjoy.

Our Key Speakers:

Richard Hutton – Finance Director of Greggs PLC

Richard Hutton is Finance Director of Greggs plc and a Trustee of the Greggs Foundation as well as being a Trustee Director of Business in the Community.

He will discuss how Greggs has chosen the priorities set out in “The Greggs Pledge”, its responsible business agenda, and share some thoughts on how to develop your own plan.

Emma Gaudern – Managing Director and Co-Founder of EMG Solicitors

Emma Gaudern is the Managing Director and Co-Founder of EMG Solicitors, as well as a Court of Protection deputy.

Emma will discuss EMG Solicitors’ pledge to make a positive and significant contribution to the communities where they live and work through investing in individuals and community initiatives.

Dame Irene Hays – Owner and Chair of Hays Travel

Dame Irene Hays is the owner and chair of Hays Travel, the UK’s largest Independent Travel Agent which was founded in 1980.

Awarded a CBE in 2008, she was made a Dame in the 2021 New Year’s Honours list for her services to training, education and young people.

Dame Irene will discuss the work of the Hays Travel Foundation and the work of the Community Partnerships which every branch in the country is encouraged to participate in, in the places where they operate.

She is renowned for her passion for embedding Corporate Social Responsibility into the fabric of Hays Travel.


This event is hosted by Children’s Cancer North, a local charity with 40 years of heritage in making life better for children with cancer in our region.
